Do you ever get in that blah state and think “Man I wish I was living my best life”? I think there is a point where everyone experiences this and a lot of times think that there is no way out, but guess what? You can! Life is entirely what you make of it and I’m going to express ways on how you can make your life the life of your dreams, or at least close.
Worrying About What Other People Think
How many times can you count that you didn’t do something the way you wanted because you were worried about what other people would think about it? This is your life and you are the one having to live it, it should not matter what other people think. Do what makes you happy and do what is right for your life because you are the one who will be experiencing the life you create. People are always going to talk and have opinions, but forget them and what they say! They don’t know you like you know you, and they don’t experience what goes on in your headspace. Now is the time to stop regretting what you didn’t do because of other people.
Doubt stems from self-esteem issues that was caused from things you experienced in the past. Someone or something made you feel inadequate, and you need to shake that off right now! Doubt is your mind telling you lies, you are capable of doing anything you set out to do. You will never know if you can accomplish something until you try so don’t let doubt hold you back. Think of all the successful people you know, if they let doubt control them would they be where they are now? The answer is no, so don’t let it control you. You could be holding your own self back from doing something absolutely amazing just because you don’t have enough faith in yourself.
Holding On To The Past
This is one that I personally struggle with. Letting go of the past is hard, especially when it contains people that you love who are no longer a part of your life. You may hold onto the past because it has a hold on you due to struggles as you went through. It’s easier said than done but you have to stop looking back and start looking forward. There is nothing you can do to change the past, you can only create your future and what you do with that is entirely up to you. Letting go is extremely hard, I’m still fighting my own demons with this issue and it’s not allowing me to move forward. If you don’t let go you are going to remain stuck, it’s time to set yourself free. Whatever happened happened, it can’t be changed, but you have control over your future.
Have you ever heard the quote “If something scares you it’s usually worth trying”? Sometimes it takes being brave and getting out of your comfort zone in order to become what you want in life. Fear is a lie and a dream killer. It is normal to fear the unknown, but you will never know until you try. There may be things you try that you fail at but that is OK! At least you can say you tried, you can always pick up the pieces and try for something else. Just because one thing doesn’t work out for you doesn’t mean that something else will have the same result. Life is all about trial and error. Stop fearing life and see what you can do with it.
Life has a lot to do with your mindset. If you only look at the negatives you are going to talk yourself out of a lot of things. However, if you train your mind to find the positives you will be pleasantly surprised by some of the outcomes you achieve. Stop thinking about what could go wrong and start thinking about what could go right! The mind is a very powerful thing and it’s your choice to control how you view things.
We live in a big world full of experiences awaiting us. To truly live requires trying new things, seeing new places, and forming new relationships. Life has so much to offer that we couldn’t experience it all in one lifetime, so find out what it is that you want to do and try. When the opportunity arises for you to experience something new take it! Visit new places, try new foods, carry conversation with new people- this is how we learn.
Now is the time to start making plans. Buy yourself a notebook and write down all the things that you want to accomplish in life. One by one start taking steps to making each of these things happen. Writing something down or thinking about something is just a dream, it only becomes reality when you start taking action. You do not want to be a dreamer for the rest of your life, if you are you will have a lot of regret. Take charge of your life and become a doer, you will start to see your life change in wonderful ways. Sometimes the things that you try may not work out but for good reason because that means there is something else out there that is better for you. You will only regret the things you don’t try to accomplish, so get out there and live your best life!
